Conservation that creates jobs and builds skills that employers want.

  • Jobs.

Community-based organizations bring jobs to rural communities, provides professional training and builds skills for future career opportunities while providing needed services within their community while improving conservation outcomes like wildfire risk, forest management and water quality.

  • Conservation.

It’s no secret that Colorado -like all places- is having its fair share of climate impacts. It’s going to take a village to address these issues and it’s time that we invest in a more sustainable future through green jobs that benefit local communities while also working to solve the problems that climate change is bringing to our doorsteps.

  • Connection.

Land management through stewardship connects people to nature and the land outside their door, while also incorporating that often missing piece of localized knowledge that can’t be found in any book or in any research paper. It’s through our care for nature that we can see it thrive, and each of us has a role.

Opportunities for Youth

By incorporating youth programs, our younger residents can help support local conservation goals while learning how to care for the surrounding forest and ecosystems and develop professional skills that will help them in future career opportunities, all with the intention of nurturing their sense of good

neighborly practices. Building opportunities that connect our youth to nature and to community are paramount in addressing climate change impacts.
